AN ACT to regulate the Interest payable to

Depositors in the Post Office Savings Bank.

[Assented to, i7th July, 495.]

WHEREAS it is expedient that the interest payable to depositors

in the Post Office Savings Bank should not be fixed by Statute, but should be adjusted from time to time in accordance with the value of money : Be it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :— Preal ble.

1. THIS Act may be cited as " The Post Office Savings Bank

Interest Act, 1895." short title.

2, IN section seven of The Post Office Savings Bank Consolidation Act, 1893," the words " the rate of three pounds fifteen shillings per centum per annum " are hereby repealed, and the said section shall be read as if, in lieu of the said repealed words, the following words were inserted, namely, " a rate to be fixed from time

3.     INTEREST at the rate of Three pounds fifteen shillings

4.     THE Governor in Council May from time to time, by notice

5.     DURING the period for which every such notice as aforesaid

affixed at Savings	remains in force, the Postmaster General shall cause a printed copy
Bank and branches.	of the same to be conspicuously affixed at the entrance of the said Savings Bank, and of every branch thereof ; and another printed copy of the same to be so affixed inside the said Savings Bank, and every branch thereof, for the information of depositors.
