PROVISIONAL REGULATION UNDER THE POST AND TELEGRAPH ACT 1901–1913.

I, SIR ARTHUR STANLEY, Governor of the State of Victoria and its Dependencies, in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting as the Deputy of the Governor-General in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, do hereby certify that, on account of urgency, the undermentioned amended Regulation under the Post and Telegraph Act 1901–1913 should come into immediate operation, and make the amended Regulation to come into operation forthwith as a Provisional Regulation.

Amendment of the Post and Telegraph Regulations 1913.

(Statutory Rules 1913, No. 348.)

Private Boxes.

Regulation 159 is repealed, and the following Regulation is inserted in its stead:—

159. (1) Subject to the provisions of Sub-regulation (3) of the last preceding Regulation, new subscribers shall pay in advance the rental for one year, calculated from the first day of the month in which they commence.

(2) At the expiration of the first year the renewal fee to be paid shall be calculated from the first day of the month after the close of the first year’s service up to the end of December following. Thereafter the renewal fee shall fall due on 1st January in each year, and must be paid within fourteen days from that date.
