REGULATION UNDER THE POST AND TELEGRAPH ACT 1901–1916.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the undermentioned amended Regulation under the Post and Telegraph Act 1901–1916, to come into operation forthwith,

Amendment of the Post and Telegraph Regulations, 1913.

(Statutory Rules 1913, No. 348.)

Regulation 11 is repealed, and the following Regulation is inserted in its stead:—

11. Postage stamps may be impressed or printed on letter cards provided by private individuals, under the following conditions but application, accompanied by a specimen card, must first be made in writing to the Deputy Postmaster-General:—

(a)Net less than 500 cards of one size, and in suitable sheets. shall be received for stamping at any one time.

(b)The charges, which must be paid in advance, shall be:—

The value of the stamps, and Two shillings per thousand cards or portion of a thousand, for the work of stamping.

(c) No commission shall be allowed on the value of the stamps impressed or printed on letter cards for licensed vendors.
