REGULATION UNDER THE POST AND TELEGRAPH ACT 1901-1916,

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the undermentioned Regulation under the Post and Telegraph Act 1901-1916 to come into operation forthwith.

Amendment of the Post and Telegraph regulations, 1913.

(Statutory Rules 1918, No. 348, as amended by Statutory Rules 1915, No. 194.)

The following Regulation is inserted after Regulation 159:—

150a. (1) A private letter-box may be transferred to the successor in business of the original box-holder upon application being made by both parties, and an undertaking being furnished by the transferee to accept all liabilities and obligations devolving upon the original box-holder at the time of transfer.

(2) When a private letter-box is transferred, the right to refund of the deposit, as provided by sub-regulation (4) of Regulation 158, and to refund of portion of the fee, as provided by Regulation 101, shall pass to the transferee.
