PORTS AND HARBOURS AMENDMENT REGULATIONS 1997

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

Citation

" in the State at which the Department provides a pilotage service ".

1.     These regulations may be cited as the Ports and Harbours Amendment

Regulations 1997.

Commencement

2.      These regulations come into operation on 1 July 1997.

Principal regulations

3.      In these regulations the Ports and Harbours Regulations* are referred to

as the principal regulations.

Regulation 15 amended

4.      Regulation 15 (1) of the principal regulations is amended by inserting

after "obtained at any port" the following —

Regulation 15B amended

5.      Regulation 15B of the principal regulations is amended b' deleting the

portion of the regulation from and including "to the Department' to the end of

the regulation and substituting the following -

to the Department -

(c) in the case of the port of Broome an amount of $370 in respect of

each occasion on which the launch is so used; or

(d) in the case of any other port at which the Department provides a pilotage service, an amount of $252 in respect of each hour or

portion of an hour for which the launch is so used except during overtime hours when the charge payable shall be b62 in respect of each hour or portion of an hour for which the launch is so used.

Third Schedule amended

6.     (1) Item 1 of Part I of the Third Schedule to the principal regulations

is deleted and the following item is substituted -

1. The charges for pilotage of vessels into and out of ports in the

State at which the Department provides a pilotage service are -

(2) Item 2 of Part I of the Third Schedule to the principal regulations is

amended by inserting after "Movements within port" the following -

(3) Item 1 (1) of Part II of the Third Schedule to the principal

regulations is amended by deleting "regulation 18" and substituting the

following-

" regulation 18 (1)

(4) Subitem (1) of item 4 of Part II of the Third Schedule to the principal

regulations is amended by deleting the portion of the subitem after "exclusive

of bowsprit - " and substituting the following -
