Page 1 1 2 2 ————— I, Sir WALTER BENJAMIN CAMPBELL, Companion of the Order of Australia, one of Her Majesty’s Counsel learned in the law, Governor, make this proclamation. Short title 1. This proclamation may be cited as the Port of Karumba Proclamation 1991. Recission of limits of Port of Normanton 2. The proclamation made on 14 April 1892 and published in the Gazette on 16 April 1892 at pages 1330 and 1331 is rescinded so far as it defines the limits of the Port of Normanton.
2 Port of Karumba Proclamation 1991 Limits of Port of Karumba 3. The limits of the Port of Karumba are defined in the Schedule. SCHEDULE The area comprised within a line commencing at a point on the high water mark at a distance of 10 nautical miles in a generally north north- easterly direction from the Karumba Landfall Light situated on the Karumba Water Tower (Latitude South 17°29.966´, Longitude East 140°50.255´) and bounded then by that high water mark generally in a south-westerly direction to a point on the high water mark at a distance of 10 nautical miles in a west south-westerly direction from Karumba Landfall Light and then by an arc of radius 10 nautical miles centred on Karumba Landfall Light generally in a northerly and easterly direction to the point of commencement and including all navigable rivers, creeks and waters communicating with that area and the banks and foreshores of the rivers, creeks and waters.
