Port Management (Prescribed Bodies) Regulations 2012

1Objective

The objective of these regulations is to prescribe bodies that will receive copies of safety and environment management plan audit reports and annual reports on performance outcomes.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 98 of the Port Management Act 1995.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 15 November 2012.

4Prescribed bodies—reports on audits

The following bodies are prescribed for the purposes of section 91FA of the Port Management Act 1995—

(a)Transport Safety Victoria; and

(b)Environment Protection Authority Victoria; and

(c)WorkSafe Victoria.

5Prescribed bodies—reporting

The following bodies are prescribed for the purposes of section 91HB of the Port Management Act 1995—

(a)Transport Safety Victoria; and

(b)Environment Protection Authority Victoria; and

(c)WorkSafe Victoria.

1.     General Information

The Port Management (Prescribed Bodies) Regulations 2012, S.R. No. 124/2012 were made on 7 November 2012 by the Governor in Council under section 98 of the Port Management Act 1995, No. 82/1995 and came into operation on 15 November 2012: regulation 3.

The Port Management (Prescribed Bodies) Regulations 2012 will sunset 10 years after the day of making on 7 November 2022 (see section 5 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994).

There are no amendments made to the Port Management (Prescribed Bodies) Regulations 2012 by statutory rules, subordinate instruments and Acts.
