Port Authorities Amendment Regulations 2014

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.             Citation

These regulations are the Port Authorities Amendment
Regulations 2014.

2.             Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a)	regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;
(b)	the rest of the regulations — on the day fixed under the Road Traffic (Administration) Act 2008 section 2(b).

3.             Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Port Authorities Regulations 2001.

4.             Regulation 3 amended

(1)	In regulation 3 in the definition of motor vehicle delete “same meaning as it has in the Road Traffic Act 1974;” and insert:
meaning given in the Road Traffic (Administration) Act 2008 section 4;

(2)	In regulation 3 in the definition of vehicle delete “same meaning as it has in the Road Traffic Act 1974.” and insert:
meaning given in the Road Traffic (Administration) Act 2008 section 4.

5.             Regulation 4A inserted

At the end of Part 1 insert:

4A.	Application as to assistance animals
These regulations are subject to any written law and any law of the Commonwealth about assistance animals as defined in the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Commonwealth) section 9(2).

6.             Regulation 77 amended

Delete regulation 77(2).

7.             Regulation 101 amended

In regulation 101 delete “the Road Traffic Act 1974” and insert:

each road law, as defined in the Road Traffic (Administration)
Act 2008 section 4,
