HEREAS by an Act, No. 20 of 1864, " To authorize the
Preamble.
the deepening and improvement of the Harbor of Port Adelaide, W
and for othcr the purposes therein namcd," certain persons were constituted a Trust for the purposes of carrying the said Act into effect: And whereas in order to the efficient performance of the duties of the said Trust, i t is expcdient to provide more effectual protection for the silt, sand, and other materials raised in the course of deepening the said Hurbor or otllcrwise-Be it therefore enactcd by the Governor-in-Chief of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council of the same, as follo~vs:
1. All silt, sand, mud, and other materials raised by the said Personsremovingsilt,
Trust in the performance of their aforesaid dutics or otherwise, shall | |
become and bc the property of thc said Trust; and any person who shall remove or carry away any such silt, sand, mud, or other material, without the consent of the said Trust, or who shall obstruct the said Trust, or their officers, or servants, in the discharge of their duties aforesaid, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and shall be liable to imprisonment for any period not exceeding one calendar month, or to the payment of a penalty not exceeding Twenty Pounds. |
