An Act to amend The Poor Houses Discipline Act,

1882.'

[Assented to 26th November, 1888.

BE it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Western Aus-

tralia and its Dependencies, by and with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows :—

1. That notwithstanding the third section of The Poor Houses

'Aloes a breach of any rule or regulation made under the said Act, to be imprisoned with or without hard labour for any term not exceeding one month, and to be also kept upon a diet of bread and water for any part of the said term not exceeding seven days.

2. This Act may be cited as The Poor Houses Discipline Act,

1888.'
