Ordinance under the Seat of Government (Administration) Act 1910.

An Ordinance to amend the Pool Betting Ordinance 1964

Short title

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Pool Betting (Amendment)

Ordinance (No. 2) 1982.'

Levy on interstate pool betting competitions

2. Section 13 A of the Pool Betting Ordinance 19642 is amended

(a)	by omitting from paragraph (b) "one-half" and substituting "the prescribed percentage"; and
(b)	by adding at the end thereof the following sub-section:

Authorised by the ACT Parliamentary Counsel—also accessible at

"(2) In this section, 'prescribed percentage', in relation to an

amount payable under a law of a State, means—

(a) if a percentage is determined by the Minister in relation to such an amount, by notice in the Gazette, for the purposes of this section—the percentage so determined; or

(b) in any other case—50%.".
