Pool Betting (Amendment) Act 1990

An Act to amend the Pool Betting Act 1964

The Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as follows:

Short title

1.  This Act may be cited as the Pool Betting (Amendment) Act 1990.

Commencement

2.  (1)  Section 1 and this section commence on the day on which this Act is notified in the Gazette.

(2)  The remaining provisions commence on 1 January 1991.

Principal Act

3.  In this Act, “Principal Act” means the Pool Betting Act 1964.1

Payments of levy to Community Development Fund

4.  Section 13D of the Principal Act is amended by omitting “for the purpose of the Australian Capital Territory Community Development Fund established as a Trust Account under section 62A of the Audit Act 1901 of the Commonwealth” and substituting “into the Consolidated Revenue Fund”.

NOTE ABOUT SECTION HEADING

On the day on which section 13D of the Pool Betting Act 1964 is amended by this Act, the heading to that section is amended by omitting “to Community Development Fund” and substituting “to Consolidated Revenue Fund”.
