This regulation may be cited as the Police Superannuation Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 1996 . PART 2—AMENDMENT OF POLICE SUPERANNUATION REGULATION 1970 ˙ Regulation amended 2. This part amends the Police Superannuation Regulation 1970 . ˙ Replacement of s 2 3. Section 2— omit, insert— ˙ ‘ Definition ‘ 2. In this regulation— “approved form” see section 13.’. ˙ Insertion of new s 2A 4. After section 2— insert — ˙ ‘ Members of Queensland Police Service who are not members of the police force for the Act ‘ 2A. A member of the Queensland Police Service is not a member of the police force for the purposes of the Act if the person— (a) is appointed under the Police Service Administration Act 1990 as

s5 4 s9 Police Superannuation Legislation Amendment No. 12, 1996 (No. 1) a staff member, police recruit or special constable; and (b) was not a member of the police force for the purposes of the Act immediately before the appointment.’. ˙ Amendment of s 4 5. Section 4, as heading— insert— ‘ Special meetings of board ’. ˙ Amendment of s 5 6. Section 5, as heading— insert— ‘ Notice of board meetings ’. ˙ Amendment of s 6 7. Section 6, as heading— insert— ‘ Failure to give notice does not invalidate proceedings ’. ˙ Amendment of s 7 8. Section 7, as heading— insert— ‘ Conduct of board business ’. ˙ Amendment of s 8 9. Section 8, as heading—

Section 9, as heading— insert— ‘ Confidentiality of board business ’. ˙ Amendment of s 12 11. Section 12, from ‘appropriate’— omit, insert— ‘approved form.’. ˙ Insertion of new ss 13–16 12. After section 12— insert— ˙ ‘ Approval of forms ‘ 13. The chief executive may approve forms for use under the Act. ˙ ‘ Approved forms ‘ 14.(1) This section applies if— (a) immediately before its commencement, there was a prescribed form for a matter; and (b) on its commencement, there is to be an approved form for the matter or a form may be approved for the matter. ‘ (2) Until there is an approved form for the matter, the form that was the prescribed form for the matter immediately before the commencement is

All subordinate legislation, other than this regulation, made under the Act and in force immediately before the commencement is repealed. ˙ ‘ Numbering and renumbering of regulation ‘ 16. In the first reprint of this regulation produced under the Reprints Act1992 , the provisions of this regulation must be numbered and renumbered as permitted by the Reprints Act 1992 , section 43.’. PART 3—AMENDMENT OF POLICE SUPERANNUATION (MEMBER) REGULATION 1992 ˙ Regulation amended 13. This part amends the Police Superannuation (Member) Regulation 1992. ˙ Amendment of s 1 (Short title) 14. Section 1, ‘( Member )’— omit. ˙ Insertion of new s 1A 15. After section 1— insert—

After section 3— insert— ˙ ‘ Approval of forms ‘ 4. The chief executive may approve forms for use under the Act. ˙ ‘ Approved forms ‘ 5.(1) This section applies if— (a) immediately before its commencement, there was a prescribed form for a matter; and (b) on its commencement, there is to be an approved form for the matter or a form may be approved for the matter. ‘ (2) Until there is an approved form for the matter, the form that was the prescribed form for the matter immediately before the commencement is taken to be the approved form for the matter. ‘ (3) This section expires 3 months after it commences. ˙ ‘ Repeals ‘ 6.
