No 79—Proclamation

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Police Service Amendment (Complaints) Act 2001, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 8 March 2002 as the day on which Schedule 1 [2] and [4] to that Act commence.

Explanatory note

The object of this proclamation is to commence the uncommenced provisions of the Police Service Amendment (Complaints) Act 2001. Those provisions repeal and restate restrictions on the disclosure of complainants’ identities by members of the Police Service.
