This regulation may be cited as the Police Service (Administration) Amendment Regulation (No. 3)1991. Amended regulations 2. The Police Service (Administration) Regulations 1990 are amended as set out in this regulation. Name of provision units 3.(1) A provision of the Police Service (Administration) Regulations 1990 that was, immediately before the commencement of this section, called a regulation may be called a section. (2) A provision of the Police Service (Administration) Regulations 1990 that was, immediately before the commencement of this section, called a subregulation may be called a subsection.

(3) A reference in the Police Service (Administration) Regulations 1990 to a regulation or subregulation of the regulations designated by a number is a reference to a section or subsection of the regulations designated by that number. Replacement of s. 1.1 (Title) 4. Section 1.1— omit , insert — ‘Short title ‘1. This regulation may be cited as the Police Service (Administration) Regulation 1990 . ’. Amendment of s. 8.1 (Property in police possession) 5. Section 8.1 (1)— omit , insert — ‘(1) For the purposes of section 10.15 of the Act, the prescribed period is— (a) in the case of perishable goods or articles that are, or could be, dangerous or noxious—the period the Commissioner determines is reasonable having regard to the nature and condition of the goods or articles; and (b) in the case of any other thing—the period of 3 months commencing on the day on which the thing came into the possession of the Police Service. ’.
