POLICE SERVICE ACT 1990—REGULATION

(Relating to provision of police services at Bathurst car race—Easter 1991)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Police Service Act 1990, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Police Service Regulation 1990 is amended by inserting after Part 7 the following Part:

PART 8—CHARGES FOR POLICE SERVICES

Charges payable for Bathurst car race—Easter 1991

115. (1) The Commissioner is entitled to demand payment from the Bathurst City Council of an amount calculated in accordance with this clause for the attendance by police officers at the James Hardie 12 Hour Production Car Race—Easter 1991 for the purposes of maintaining order, crowd control and supervision.

(2) The amount payable under this clause is to be calculated at the rate of $27 per hour for each police officer who is in attendance for those purposes.

(3) The amount payable under this clause is prescribed under section 107 (2) and (3) of the Act.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The purpose of this Regulation is to prescribe certain services for which the Commissioner of Police is entitled to make charges under section 107 of the Police Service Act 1990.
