Police Regulations Amendment (Captive Bolt

Guns) Regulations 2016

(a)	Part 1 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;
(b)	the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

Part 1 — Preliminary

1.            Citation

These regulations are the Police Regulations Amendment
(Captive Bolt Guns) Regulations 2016.

2.            Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

Part 2 - Firearms Regulations 1974 amended

3.             Regulations amended

This Part amends the Firearms Regulations 1974.

4.             Schedule 3 amended

In Schedule 3 clause 9 in the Table delete:

E2 a captive bolt

Part 3 - Weapons Regulations 1999 amended

5. Regulations amended
This Part amends the Weapons Regulations 1999.

6.             Schedule 2 amended

After Schedule 2 item 3 insert:

4. Captive bolt gun An article made or modified to be used

for slaughtering an animal by means of a
bolt that is fired into the animal but
remains part of the article before and

after the firing.
