section 10A of this Act, which wound or in jury is not received—
(i) during or after any sub
s tan t ia l in te r rup t ion of, or subs tant ia l deviat ion from, any such journey made for a reason uncon nected with his d u t y ; or
(ii) during or after any other break in any such journey which, hav ing r ega rd t o all the circumstances, i s not reasonably incidental
to any such j o u r n e y . "
(b) by inserting next after section ten the follow ing new section:—• 10A. The daily or other periodic journeys re fer red to in sections ten and twelve of this Ac t shall be the dai ly or other periodic j ou rneys—
(a)
between the place of residence of the member of the police force and the police s ta t ion or police call box or o ther place to which he is a t t ached ; or
(b)
between the place of residence of the member of the police force or the police s ta t ion or police call box to which he is a t tached and a point or place to which he has been detai led to per form duty.
(c)
by inserting in section twTelve after the words " d u t y of his office" where secondly occurr ing the words " o r where any member of the police force has , wi thout his own default or wilful act , been killed or has died from injuries received, without his own default or wilful act, on a n y of the dai ly or other periodic journeys r e fe r red to in section 10A of this Act, or any person (in this section hereinaf ter re fer red to as 'ex-mem ber of the police force ' ) who had been a member of the police force and who, a t the da te of h i s death, was enti t led to an annua l superannua tion allowance under this Act, has died f rom
in jur ies
injuries received, while a member of the police force and -without his own default or wilful act, on any of the daily or other periodic journeys referred to in section 10A of this Act, and in any of such cases the occurrence resulting in such death did not happen or such injuries were not received—•
(a)
during or after any substantial inter- ruption of, or substantial deviation from, any such journey made for a reason unconnected with his duty; or
(b)
during or after any other break in such journey' which, having regard to all the circumstances, Avas not reason- ably incidental to any such journey."
