T)E it enacted by tbe Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, JD by and with the advice and consent of the Legis­ lative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority ol the same, as follows :—

Short title

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the “ Police Eegula-

tion (Amendment) Act, 1955.”

(2) The Police Regulation Act, 1899, as amended by subsequent Acts and by this Act, may be cited as the Police Regulation Act, 1899-1955.

Amendment

2. The Police Regulation Act, 1899, as amended by

Act No 20

subsequent Acts, is amended—^

1899.

(a) (i) by omitting from section fifteen the words

(2) Any member of the police force who takes any bribe, pecuniary or otherwise, either directly or indirectly, shall, on con­ viction before two Justices, be liable to a penalty not exceeding one hundred pounds, or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months, or to both.
