T)E it enacted by tbe Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, JD by and with the advice and consent of the Legis lative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority ol the same, as follows :—
| Short title | 1. (1) This Act may be cited as the “ Police Eegula- |
tion (Amendment) Act, 1955.”
(2) The Police Regulation Act, 1899, as amended by subsequent Acts and by this Act, may be cited as the Police Regulation Act, 1899-1955.

(a) (i) by omitting from section fifteen the words

(ii) by inserting at the end of the same section the following new subsection;—^
(2) Any member of the police force who takes any bribe, pecuniary or otherwise, either directly or indirectly, shall, on con viction before two Justices, be liable to a penalty not exceeding one hundred pounds, or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months, or to both.
