POLICE REGULATION ACT 1899 - RULE

(Relating to the wearing of insignia of rank on police uniforms)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Police Regulation Act 1899, has been pleased to make the Rule set forth hereunder.

The Police Rules 1977 are amended by omitting Rule 82 and by

inserting instead the following Rule:

Insignia of rank etc.

82. (1) Insignia of rank shall be worn on epaulettes.

(2) The details of insignia of rank, uniform, badges and service

numbers shall be as specified in the Police Instructions.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Rule is to amend the Police Rules 1977 with respect to the

wearing of insignia of rank on uniforms worn by members of the Police Force.
