Police Offences Amendment Regulations 2010

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Police Offences Act 1935 .17 May 2010

1Short titleThese regulations may be cited as the Police Offences Amendment Regulations 2010 . 2CommencementThese regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette. 3Principal RegulationsIn these regulations, the Police Offences Regulations 2007 are referred to as the Principal Regulations. 4Regulation 3A insertedAfter regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations , the following regulation is inserted: 3APublic places where liquor consumption prohibited The following places are prescribed as public places for the purposes of section 25 of the Act: (a) the area of Crown land specified in Part 4 of Schedule 1 and known as Franklin Square; (b) the area of land specified in Part 7 of Schedule 1 and known as Glenorchy Council Memorial Gardens. 5Regulation 4 amended (Public places where liquor consumption restricted) Regulation 4 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting subregulation (5) . 6Schedule 1 amended (Public Places) Schedule 1 to the Principal Regulations is amended by inserting after Part 6 the following Part: PART 7Glenorchy Council Memorial GardensAll that area of land comprising 4 903 square metres, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 8876 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 7 of Schedule 2 . 7Schedule 2 amended (Plans) Schedule 2 to the Principal Regulations is amended by inserting after Part 6 the following Part: PART 7Glenorchy Council Memorial Gardens
