Police Offences Amendment Regulations 2008

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Police Offences Act 1935 .10 November 2008

1Short titleThese regulations may be cited as the Police Offences Amendment Regulations 2008 . 2CommencementThese regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette. 3Principal RegulationsIn these regulations, the Police Offences Regulations 2007 are referred to as the Principal Regulations. 4Regulation 4A insertedAfter regulation 4 of the Principal Regulations , the following regulation is inserted: 4APrescribed persons for purposes of section 37JA(3) of Act (1) For the purposes of section 37JA(3) of the Act, prescribed persons are persons who are employed or engaged by a department administering a prescribed Act. (2)  In this regulation – prescribed Act means – (a) the Animal Health Act 1995 ; or (b) the Nature Conservation Act 2002 ; or (c) the Vermin Control Act 2000 .
