An Ordinance to amend the Police Offences Ordinance 1930

Short title

1.  This Ordinance may be cited as the Police Offences (Amendment) Ordinance 1984.1

Commencement

2.  This Ordinance shall come into operation on such date as is fixed by the Minister of State for Territories and Local Government by notice in the Gazette.

Principal Ordinance

3.  In this Ordinance, “Principal Ordinance” means the Police Offences Ordinance 1930.2

Interpretation

4.  Section 5 of the Principal Ordinance is amended by omitting the definition of “Unlawful game”.

Prostitution

5.  Section 23 of the Principal Ordinance is amended—

(a)by omitting paragraphs (1) (k), (l) and (m); and

(b)by omitting sub-section (4).

Regulation of places of public resort

6.  Section 34 of the Principal Ordinance is amended by omitting paragraph (b).

Repeal

7.  Sections 35, 35A and 36 of the Principal Ordinance are repealed.
