No. 10 of 1939.

AN ORDINANCE

To amend the Police Offences Ordinance 1930-1937 as

amended by the Police Offences Ordinance 1939.

BE it ordained by the " Governor-General in and over the Executive Council, in pursuance of the powers conferred by«the Commonwealth of Australia, with the advice of the Federal Seat of Government Acceptance Act 1909-1938 and the Seat of
Government (Administration) Act 1910-1933, as follows:—

1.-—(1.) This Ordinance may be cited as the Police Offences short title and

Ordinance (No. 2) 1939. dtatlon-

(2.) Sub-section (2.) of the Police Offences Ordinance 1939 is repealed.

(3.) The Police Offences Ordinance 1930-1937, as amended by the Police Offences Ordinance 1939, is in this Ordinance referred to as the Principal Ordinance.

(4.) The Principal Ordinance, as amended by this Ordinance, may be cited as the Police Offences Ordinance 1930-1939.

2. Section forty-seven of the Principal Ordinance is amended Common ARS&llItt

by adding at the end thereof the following sub-section :—
"(2.) Any person convicted of an offence against this section shall remain liable to all civil proceedings in like manner as if he had not been so convicted.".
