POLICE OFFENCES
No. 3 of 1967
An Ordinance to amend the Police Offences
Ordinance 1930-1961.
1.—(1.) This Ordinance may be cited as the Police Offences
Ordinance 1967.*
(2. ) The Police Offences Ordinance 1930-1961 is in this Ordinance referred to as the Principal Ordinance.

2 . Section 5 of the Principal Ordinance is amended by inserting, before the definition of " C o u r t " , the following definition:—
" ' B o a t ' includes launch, yacht, canoe, raft, pontoon and any other thing capable of carrying persons or goods through or on water;"
3. Section 23 of the Principal Ordinance is amended—
(a) by omitting from paragraph (p) of sub-section (1 . ) the words " or outhouse " and inserting in their stead the words " , outhouse, boatshed or boat ";
(b) by inserting in paragraph (a ) of sub-section ( 1 . ) , after the word " outhouse ", the word ", boat-
shed "; and
(c) by omitting from paragraph (q) of sub-section (1.)
the words " cart or waggon " and inserting in

their stead the words " vehicle or boat ".
4. Section 24B of the Principal Ordinance is amended by
inserting after the word " lands " the words ", in or on a vehicle

| 5. Section 37 of the Principal Ordinance is repealed. |
6. Section 43 of the Principal Ordinance is amended by omitting from paragraph (a) the words " or river " and inserting in their stead the words ", river or lake ".

7. Section 56 of the Principal Ordinance is amended— (a) by adding at the end of paragraph (a) the words
" , or into any lake adjoining any such public
place "; and
(b) by inserting in paragraph (b), after the word
" stream ", the words " , or of any such lake ".
