Police Force Amendment Regulations

(No. 3) 2007

Made by the Commissioner of Police with the approval of the Minister for Police and Emergency Services, under section 9.

  1. Citation

These regulations are the Police Force Ainendnzent Regulations
(No. 3) 2007.
  1. Commencement

    These regulations come into operation as follows:

(a) regulations 1 and 2 - on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette ("Gazettal day");
(b) the rest of the regulations - on the day after Gazettal day.
  1. The regulations amended

The amendments in these regulations are to the Police Force
Regulations 1979.
  1. Regulation 201 amended

46 18 years of age; ";

Regulation 201 (1) is amended as follows:

(a) by deleting the subregulation designation "(1)";
(b) by deleting paragraph (a)(iv).
5. Regulation 406 repealed
Regulation 406 is repealed.
  1. Regulations 408, 409 and 410 repealed

    Regulations 408, 409 and 410 are repealed.

  2. Regulation 502 amended

    Regulation 502(1) is amended as follows:

    (a) in paragraph (e)(i) by deleting "19 years of age;" and

    inserting instead -

(b)

in paragraph (f)(ii) by deleting "and has passed the entrance examination prescribed by regulation 503;" and inserting instead a semicolon;

(c) after paragraph (f)(ii) by inserting —

(iii) unless the Commissioner in a particular
case approves otherwise, in the case of
an appointment as a member or cadet,
passed the entrance examination
prescribed by regulation 503;

8.            Regulation 503 amended

Regulation 503 is amended by deleting "to be passed by every
person who desires to be considered for appointment to the
Force" and inserting instead —
" referred to in regulation 502(1)(f)(iii)
