POLICE FORCE AMENDMENT REGULATIONS (No. 2) 1998

Made by the Commissioner of Police under section 9 with the approval of the Minister for

Police.

Citation

1. These regulations may be cited as the Police Force Amendment Regulations (No. 2)

1998.

Principal regulations

2. In these regulations the Police Force Regulations /979*are referred to as the principal

regulations.

9. Regulation 809 of the principal regulations is repealed.

Part VIII amended

3.Part VIII of the principal regulations is amended by deleting the heading "PART VIII —

SENIORITY AND EXAMINATIONS" and substituting the following heading —

" PART VIII— SENIORITY ".

Regulation 801 amended

4.Regulation 801 of the principal regulations is amended by deleting the definitions of

"Board of Examiners", "Extension Studies (Stage 1)" and "Extension Studies (Stage 2)".
Regulation 807 repealed

5.Regulation 807 of the principal regulations is repealed.

Regulation 808 repealed

6.Regulation 808 of the principal regulations is repealed.

Regulation 808A repealed

7.Regulation 808A of the principal regulations is repealed.

Regulation 808B repealed

8.Regulation 808B of the principal regulations is repealed.

Regulation 809 repealed

Regulation 810 repealed

10.Regulation 810 of the principal regulations is repealed.

Regulation 811 repealed

11.Regulation 811 of the principal regulations is repealed.

Regulation 812 repealed

12.Regulation 812 of the principal regulations is repealed.

Transitional

13.(1) In this regulation

"commencement day" means the day on which these regulations are published in

the Gazette.

(2) Despite regulation 5, the Board of Examiners as constituted immediately before the commencement day shall continue in existence for the purpose of considering, determining or dealing with, as soon as practicable after the commencement day —

(a) any application under regulation 807 (6) made before the commencement day; or
(b) any application for a review of a decision under regulation 811(3) made before the

commencement day,

as if the provisions repealed by these regulations continue to have effect so far as may be
necessary.
