POLICE FORCE AMENDMENT REGULATIONS (No. 2) 1996

Made by the Commissioner of Police under section 9 with the approval of the

Minister for Police.

Citation

1. These re lations may be cited as the Police Force Amendment

Regulations 8 0. 2) 1996.

Principal regulations

2.      In these regulations the Police Force Regulations 1979* are referred to as

the principal regulations.

Regulation 502 amended

3. (1) Regulation 502 (1) of the principal regulations is amended -

(a) in paragraph (a), by deleting "a British subject;" and substituting the following -

an Australian citizen, or a permanent resident, within the meaning of the Australian Citizenship Act 1948 of the Commonwealth;	79.

(b)	in ~aragraph	(e) (i), by deleting "and not more than 33 years of
age ;

(C)	in paragraph (g), by inserting aRer "as a member" the following -
"

, and if required to do so by the Commissioner, "; and

Approved- R. L. WIESE, Minister for Police.

(d) in paragraph (h), by inserting after "to do so" the following -

" by the Commissioner ".

(2) Re lation 502 (2) of the principal regulations is repealed and the

following su y regulation is substituted -

appointment as a member, for the purposes of a ph sical performance (2) The activities to be undertaken by an applicant for

evaluation required under subregulation (1) (g), shal be as determined r

by the Commissioner.	77
(3)	Regulation 502 (5) of the principal regulations is repealed.
