POLICE FORCE AMENDMENT REGULATIONS 1997

Made under section 9 by the Commissioner of Police with the approval of the

Minister.

Citation

1.    These regulations may be cited as the Police Force Amendment

Regulations 1997.

Principal regulations

2.     In these regulations the Police Force Regulations 1979* are referred to as

the principal regulations.

Regulation 103 amended

3.     Regulation 103 of the principal regulations is amended by inserting

before the definition of "officer" the following definition —

"non-commissioned officer" means a non-commissioned officer

Regulation 624 amended

4. (1) Regulation 624 (1) of the principal regulations is amended by

deleting "made by an officer" and substituting the following —

made by a commissioned officer or non-commissioned officer (in subregulation (2) called "the investigating officer") ff.

deleting "officer charged with making an investigation pursuant to (2) Regulation 624 (2) of the principal regulations is amended by

subregulation (1)" and substituting the following —

" investigating officer ".
