AN ACT to amend the Police Benefit Fund Abolition

Act, 1939.

[Assented to 1st November, 1955.]

-RE it enacted, by the Queen's Most Excellent " Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-

Short title

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Police Benefit

and citation.

Fund Abolition Act Amendment Act, 1955.

(2) In this Act the Police Benefit Fund Abolition

Act, 1939,

Act No. 40 of 1939,

is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Police Benefit Fund Abolition Act, 1939-1955.

2. Section thirteen of the principal Act is

amended by

(a)

deleting all the words after the word "hereof" in line one of paragraph (b) down to and including the word "shall" in line nine and substituting therefor the words "whenever a member of the Police Force who is entitled to a payment out of the Police Benefit Fund Distribution Trust Account requests that such payment be made to him, he shall forthwith";

(b)

inserting after the word "paid" in line six of paragraph (c) the words "to the member himself, or".
