Procedure) Regulation 2009

Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Police Act 1990.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to amend the Police Regulation 2008 to provide that the regulations under the Public Sector Employment and Management Act 2002 apply to the selection of administrative officers and temporary employees employed under the Police Act 1990.

This Regulation is made under the Police Act 1990, including section 219 (the general regulation-making power).

This Regulation is the Police Amendment (Selection Procedure)
Regulation 2009.

2 Amendment of Police Regulation 2008

(1) Clause 66 Selection procedures

Omit the clause.

(2) Clause 69 Application of Public Service conditions of service and
selection procedures
Insert after clause 69 (1) (e):
(f) selection procedures.
(3) Clause 69 (2A)
Insert after clause 69 (2):
(2A) For the purposes of applying those regulations, the reference in clause 9 (2) (b) of the Public Sector Employment and Management (General) Regulation 1996 to the branch of the Department in which the vacant position exists is to be read as a reference to the command in which the vacant position exists.
