n members of the force to carry out specialist

2. Authorising provision

is These Regulations are made under section 130 of
g the Police Regulation Act 1958.

L These Regulations come into operation on

4. Appointment to specialist areas

For regulation 6 of the Police Regulations 20031

ts substitute—
n "6. Appointment to specialist areas

m Despite regulation 5(b) and (d), the Chief
u Commissioner may appoint a person with
c special qualifications or relevant required
o expertise to—
D (a) the Police Air Wing; or
ry (b) the Police Bands; or
ta (c) the Technical Support Unit, Covert

e Support Division.".
