Disability) Regulation 2006

Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Police Act 1990.

Explanatory note
Amendments made to the Police Act 1990 by the Police Amendment (Death and Disability) Act 2005 facilitated the introduction of a new death or incapacity benefits scheme for police officers under a police officers award to be specified.
Crown Employees (Police Officers Death and regulation-making power) and clause 68 of Schedule 4.
The object of this Regulation is to prescribe the

Police Amendment (Death and Disability) Regulation

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Police Amendment (Death and Disability)
Regulation 2006.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on 30 January 2006.

3 Amendment of Police Regulation 2000

The Police Regulation 2000 is amended by inserting after clause 108 the following clause:

109      Prescription of police officers award

For the purposes of the definition of police officers award in clause 68 of Schedule 4 to the Act, the Crown Employees (Police Officers Death and Disability) Award 2005 is prescribed.
