AN ORDINANCE

To amend the Police Ordinance 1927-1970, as amended by the

Police Ordinance 1972.

1 THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of ,

Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Ordinance under the Seat of

Government

{Administration) Act 1910-1972.

POLICE ORDINANCE (No. 2) 1972

1 .—(1. ) This Ordinance may be cited as the Police Ordinance

(No. 2) 1972.*

(2.) The Police Ordinance 1927-1970,t as amended by the Police Ordinance 19724 is in this Ordinance referred to as the Principal Ordinance.

(3.) Section 1 of the Police Ordinance 1972 is amended by omitting

sub-section (2 . ) .

(4.) The Principal Ordinance, as amended by this Ordinance, may be cited as the Police Ordinance 1927-1972.

2 .—(1.) Section 5E of the Principal Ordinance is amended by omitting from sub-section (2.) the word "purchased" and inserting in its stead the word " obtained ".

The publication in the Gazette, before the date of commence­ ment of this Ordinance, of a notice specifying the place where copies of a determination made under the Principal Ordinance are available shall be taken to be, and to have always been, a sufficient compliance with the requirements of section 5E of the Principal Ordinance.

3. Section 10 of the Principal Ordinance is amended by omitting paragraph (d).

4. Section 11 of the Principal Ordinance is repealed.
