AN ACT to further amend the Police Act,

1902.

1.     This Act may be cited as the Police Act Amendment Act, Short title

1915, and shall be read as one with the Police Act, 1892, hereinafter

referred to as the principal Act.

2.    (1.) The Commissioner of Police may appoint special Appointment of

Any person appointed a special constable shall have all

the same powers and be entitled to and enjoy all the same privileges and be subject to the same duties and obligations as any constable duly appointed under the principal Act :

Provided that the Commissioner of Police may suspend or determine the service of any special constable at any time he may think fit.

(3.) Any special constable may receive such payment for his

services, and may be provided with such equipment and necessaries

as may be allowed and provided to a special constable appointed

under the provisions of Part III. of the principal Act.

(4) All appointments of special constables heretofore made by the Commissioner of Police are hereby ratified and confirmed, and this section shall apply to such appointments as if it had been enacted by the principal Act.
