POLICE

No. 4 of 1967

An Ordinance to amend the Police Ordinance

1927-1966.

1.—(1.) This Ordinance may be cited as the Police Ordinance 1967.*

(2.) The Police Ordinance 1927-1966f is in this Ordinance referred to as the Principal Ordinance.

(3.) The Principal Ordinance, as amended by this Ordin­ ance, may be cited as the Police Ordinance 1927-1967.

2. Section 7AA of the Principal Ordinance is amended by omitting sub-section (1.) and inserting in its stead the follow­ ing sub-section—

" (1. ) A member of the Police Force shall not, without the written permission of the Minister or a person authorised by the Minister for the purposes of this section—

(a) resign from the Police Force; or

(b) cease to serve as a member of the Police Force.

Penalty: One hundred dollars or imprisonment for three

months.".

3 . The Principal Ordinance is amended as set out in the Schedule to this Ordinance.
