I AN ORDINANCE

To amend the Police Ordinance 1927-1930.

1.— (1.) This Ordinance may be cited as the Police Ordinance short title ana

(2.) The Police Ordinance 1927-1930 is in this Ordinance referred to as the Principal Ordinance.

(3.) The Principal Ordinance, as amended by this Ordinance, may be cited as the Police Ordinance 1927-1932.

2.— (1.) After section seven of the Principal Ordinance, the following section is inserted :—

" 7 A . — (1.) The Attorney-General may, upon the recom- Temporary

mendation of the Chief Officer, approve of the transfer for a PoHceTorce f
specified period of any member of the Police Force to the Police e°^" ie8

Force of any Territory of the Commonwealth.

" (2.) Any such transfer shall be regarded as temporary and shall be made upon such terms and conditions as are agreed upon by the Attorney-General and the Minister administering the laws for the government of the Territory to the Police Force of which the member is transferred.

" (3.) Upon the completion of the specified period of transfer the member shall return to his former office in the Police Force of the Territory or to any offiee in such Police Force not inferior in status to his former office.".

(2.) This section shall be deemed to have commenced on the first day of August One thousand nine hundred and thirty-one.
