Poker Machine Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THOMAS UREN, the Minister of State for Territories and Local Government, hereby make the following Regulations under the Poker Machine Control Ordinance 1975.

1. After regulation 2 of the Poker Machine Regulations the following

regulation is inserted: Prescribed machines
"2A. For the purpose of the definition of 'poker machine' in section 3 of the Ordinance, all machines commonly known as draw poker machines, five card poker machines, seven card stud poker machines, video-pontoon machines, video quarter horse racing machines, quinella machines, video keno machines, dwarf den machines or video roulette machines are prescribed machines.".

2. Regulation 3 of the Poker Machine Regulations is amended

(a)

by inserting in paragraph (a) "(other than a prescribed machine)" after "a machine";

(b)

by inserting in paragraph (b) "(other than a prescribed machine)" after "a machine";

(c) by inserting in paragraph (c) "(other than a prescribed machine)"

Authorised by the ACT Parliamentary Counsel—also accessible at

after "a machine";

(d)

by inserting in paragraph (d) "(other than prescribed machines)" after "machines" (second occurring); and

(e) Tinserting in paragraph (e) "prescribed machines and" after "being".
