Poisons (Prohibited Substances) Amendment Order 2004

I make the following order under section 3 of the Poisons Act 1971 .8 December 2004

1Short titleThis order may be cited as the Poisons (Prohibited Substances) Amendment Order 2004 . 2CommencementThis order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette. 3Principal OrderIn this order, the Poisons (Prohibited Substances) Order 1990 is referred to as the Principal Order. 4Schedule 1 amended (Prohibited substances)Schedule 1 to the Principal Order is amended as follows: (a) by omitting item 41B; (b) by inserting after item 48 the following item: 48A.   Methyl (2S,4aR,6aR,7R,9S,10aS,10bR)-9-acetoxy-6a,10b-dimethyl-4,10-dioxo-dodecahydro-2-(3-furyl)-2H-naphtho[2,1-c]pyran-7-carboxylate (otherwise known as Salvinorin A). (c) by omitting item 55; (d) by inserting after item 58A the following item: 58AB.   Mitragyna speciosa. (e) by omitting item 59EA and substituting the following items: 59EA.   N,α-dimethyl-3,4-(methylenedioxy)phenylethylamine (otherwise known as MDMA). 59EB.   N-methyl-1-(3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl)-2-butanamine (otherwise known as MBDB).
