Poisons List Amendment Order (No. 4) 2009

I make the following order under section 15(1) of the Poisons Act 1971 .21 December 2009

1Short titleThis order may be cited as the Poisons List Amendment Order (No. 4) 2009 . 2CommencementThis order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette. 3Principal OrderIn this order, the Poisons List Order 2001 is referred to as the Principal Order. 4Schedule 2 amended (Medicinal Poisons) Schedule 2 to the Principal Order is amended by omitting item 2085 and substituting:

2085.  Loperamide in divided preparations for oral use in packs of 20 dosage units or less.

5Schedule 3 amended (Potent Substances) Schedule 3 to the Principal Order is amended as follows: (a) by inserting after item 3046 the following:

3046M.  Magnesium sulfate for human therapeutic use in divided oral preparations except when containing 1.5g or less of magnesium sulfate per recommended daily dose.

(b) by inserting after paragraph (b) in item 3067M the following:

3067S.  Rabeprazole in oral preparations containing 10mg or less of rabeprazole for the relief of heartburn and other symptoms of gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, in packs containing not more than 14 days of supply.

6Schedule 4 amended (Restricted Substances) Schedule 4 to the Principal Order is amended as follows: (a) by inserting after item 40536 the following:

40536M.  Doripenem.

(b) by inserting after item 40725 the following:

40725M.  Golimumab.

(c) by omitting item 40738 and substituting the following:

40738.  Guanidine for therapeutic use.

(d) by inserting after item 40757 the following:

40757M.  HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors (including "statins") except when separately specified in these Schedules.

(e) by inserting after item 40759 the following:

40759M.  Human papilloma virus vaccine.

(f) by inserting after item 40830M the following:

40830S.  Japanese encephalitis vaccine.

(g) by inserting after item 40842 the following:

40842M.  Lacosamide.

(h) by inserting after item 40872 the following:

40872M.  Liraglutide.

(i) by inserting after item 41254 the following:

41254M.  Prasugrel.

(j) by omitting item 41322 and substituting the following:

41322.  Rabeprazole except when included in Schedule 3 .

(k) by inserting after item 41421 the following:

41421F.  Succimer.

(l) by omitting item 41421M and substituting the following:

41421M.  Sugammadex.

7Schedule 5 amended (Domestic Poisons) Schedule 5 to the Principal Order is amended as follows: (a) by omitting item 5118 ; (b) by inserting after item 5215 the following:

5215F.  Monepantel.

8Schedule 6 amended (Agricultural and Industrial Poisons) Schedule 6 to the Principal Order is amended as follows: (a) by inserting after paragraph (c) in item 6211 the following:

6211M.	Guanidine except –
(a) when included in Schedule 4 ; or
(b) in preparations containing 1% or less of guanidine.

(b) by inserting after item 6264 the following:

6264M.  Methyldibromo glutaronitrile except in preparations intended to be in contact with the skin, including cosmetic use.

9Schedule 7 amended (Dangerous Poisons) Schedule 7 to the Principal Order is amended as follows: (a) by inserting after item 7192M in Part 1 the following:

7192S.  Saflufenacil.

(b) by omitting item 7525 from Part 2 ; (c) by inserting after item 7533M in Part 2 the following:

7533S.  Methyldibromo glutaronitrile in preparations intended to be in contact with the skin, including cosmetic use.
