Poisons List Amendment Order (No. 2) 1998

I make the following order under section 15(1) of the Poisons Act 1971 .20 May 1998

1Short titleThis order may be cited as the Poisons List Amendment Order (No. 2) 1998 . 2CommencementThis order takes effect on 19 June 1998 or on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette, whichever is the later. 3Principal OrderIn this order – (a) the Poisons List Order 1984 is referred to as the Principal Order; and (b) the Poisons List set out in Schedule 1 to the Principal Order is referred to as the Poisons List. 4Amendment of Poisons ListThe Poisons List is amended as follows: (a) by omitting each of the items listed in Part 1 of Schedule 1 to this order; (b) by inserting in numerical order each of the items listed in Part 2 of Schedule 1 to this order in the relevant Schedule to the Poisons List according to the initial figure of those items; (c) by substituting each of the items listed in Part 3 of Schedule 1 to this order for the item on the Poisons List with the same number. 5114.	Hydrofluoric acid (excluding its salts and derivatives) in preparations containing 0.5% or less of hydrogen fluoride.
5133.	Metalaxyl when included in preparations containing 35% or less of metalaxyl.
5232J.	Virginiamycin –
(a) in animal feed premixes or animal feed additives containing 2% or less of virginiamycin activity; or
(b) in animal feed additives for the treatment of acidosis when packed in individual sachets each containing 20g or less of virginiamycin activity.
6153.	Fluorides except –
(a) when included in Schedule 2, 3, 4 or 5; or
(b) when separately specified in this Schedule; or
(c) in dentifrices containing 1000 mg/kg or less of fluoride ion; or
(d) in preparations containing 15 mg/kg or less of fluoride ion.
6172.	Hydrofluoric acid (excluding its salts and derivatives) in preparations containing 10% or less of hydrogen fluoride except when included in Schedule 5.
7123.	Hydrofluoric acid (excluding its salts and derivatives) except when included in Schedule 5 or 6.
