Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Poisons and Therapeutic Goods Act 1966.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to amend Appendix C (Persons authorised to possess and use substances) to the Poisons and Therapeutic Goods Regulation 2008 so as to enable certain authorised persons to possess and use methoxyflurane if required for use in connection with the carrying out of first aid at a mine.
This Regulation is made under the Poisons and Therapeutic Goods Act 1966, including paragraph (d) of the definition of Supply by wholesale in section 4 (1) and sections 10 (4) (d) and 45C (the general regulation-making power).

1 Name of Regulation
This Regulation is the Poisons and Therapeutic Goods Amendment
(First Aid in Mines) Regulation 2009.
2 Commencement
This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the
NSW legislation website.

Insert “methoxyflurane and” after “possess and use” in clause 11.
