POISONS AND DANGEROUS DRUGS.

No. 1 of 1963.

An Ordinance to amend the Poisons and Dangerous

Drugs Ordinance 1933-1954.

1.—(1.) This Ordinance may be cited as the Poisons and short title

Dangerous Drugs Ordinance 1963.*

(2.) The Poisons and Dangerous Drugs Ordinance 1933-1954f is in this Ordinance referred to as the Principal Ordinance.

(3.) The Principal Ordinance, as amended by this Ordinance, may be cited as the Poisons and Dangerous Drugs Ordinance 1933-1963.

2. Section four of the Principal Ordinance is amended by Pam.

omitting the words—

" Part VII.—Biological Preparations."

and inserting in their stead the words—

" Part VII.—Biological Preparations and Restricted

Substances.".

3. Part VII. of the Principal Ordinance is repealed and the

following Part inserted in its stead:—

" PART VII. — BIOLOGICAL PREPARATIONS AND

RESTRICTED SUBSTANCES.

" 40. In this Part, ' substance to which this Part applies' Definitions,

means—

(a) a biological preparation declared by the Minister under section twelve of this Ordinance to be, for the purposes of this Ordinance, a biological preparation; or

(b) a substance declared by the Minister under the next succeeding section to be, for the purposes of this Part, a restricted substance.

Biological̂ " 4 0 B . A person shall not sell to, supply to, or dispense for,

(b) a registered pharmacist;
(c) a registered veterinary surgeon;

(d) the holder of a licence to sell substances to which

this Part applies;

in writing by the Director-General; or

(/) a person who presents a prescription signed by a registered medical practitioner or a registered veterinary surgeon authorizing the sale to, supply to, or dispensing for, that person or another person for whom that person is acting of the substance to which this Part applies.

Penalty: One hundred pounds.
