s1 2 s3 Poisons Amendment (No. 5) No. 233, 1995 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Poisons Amendment Regulation (No. 5) 1995 . ˙ Regulation amended 2. This regulation amends the Poisons Regulation 1973 . ˙ Amendment of s A5.01 3.(1) Section A5.01(c), ‘2-(4-Chlorophenyl)-1, 2, 4-triazole [5, 1a]-isoquinoline except for the treatment of animals;’— omit, insert— ‘2-(4-Chlorophenyl)-(1, 2, 4)triazolo[5, 1-A]isoquinoline, other than for the treatment of animals;’. (2) Section A5.01(c), ‘1, 2-Dibromo-3-Chloropropane;’— omit. (3) Section A5.01(c), ‘Sodium Pentosan polysulphate except for the treatment of animals;’— omit. (4) Section A5.01(c)— insert— ‘Atipamezole, other than for the treatment of animals;’. (5) Section A5.01(c)— insert— ‘Ceftiofur, other than for the treatment of animals;’. (6) Section A5.01(c)— insert— ‘Deslorelin, other than for the treatment of animals;’ (7) Section A5.01(c)— insert—

(9) Section A5.01(c)— insert— ‘Milbemycin oxime, other than for the treatment of animals;’. (10) Section A5.01(c)— insert— ‘Nicergoline, other than for the treatment of animals;’. (11) Section A5.01(c)— insert— ‘Romifidine, other than for the treatment of animals;’. ˙ Amendment of s A6.01 4. Section A6.01(c)(iv)— omit . ˙ Amendment of s A6.03 5. Section A6.03(b)(i) and (ii)— omit, insert— ‘(i) acitretin; (ii) etretinate; (iii) isotretinoin; (iv) thalidomide.’.

s6 4 s7 Poisons Amendment (No. 5) No. 233, 1995 ˙ Amendment of s B4.02 6.(1) Section B4.02(g)— omit, insert— ‘(g) if the substance is for internal human therapeutic use and is a substance mentioned in appendix K to the standard—warning statement 39 or 40 in appendix F, part 1 to the standard in bold- faced sanserif letters with a face depth of not less than 1.5mm. (2) Section B4.02— insert— ‘(i) if the dispensed medicine is a substance mentioned in section A6.03(b)—the words ‘WARNING—CAUSES BIRTH DEFECTS’ in bold-faced sanserif capital letters with a face depth of not less than 1.5mm.’. ˙ Amendment of s N1.01 7. Section N1.01(a)— omit, insert— ‘(a) has been written by someone other than a person— (i) authorised to write the prescription under this regulation; and (ii) whose name, professional qualifications and address are legibly written in ink on the prescription; or’.
