2516 Poisons Amendment (No. 4) No. 415, 1993 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Poisons Amendment Regulation (No. 4) 1993 . ˙ Amended regulation 2. The Poisons Regulation 1973 is amended as set out in this regulation. ˙ Amendment of s.A2 (Adoption of standard) 3. After section A2.05— insert— ‘A2.05A. This regulation does not apply to a substance specified in a Schedule to the Standard— (a) if the concentration of the substance is not greater than the concentration specified for the substance in column 2 of Appendix G to the Standard; or (b) if the substance— (i) is specified in Schedules 1 to 6 at a concentration not greater than 10 mg/L or 10 mg/kg; and (ii) is not also specified in Schedule 7 or 8. ’. ˙ Amendment of s.A5 (Controlled Drugs and Poisons) 4.(1) Section A5.01— omit Fluoroacetic Acid; ’, insert Fluoroacetic Acid other than as allowed under section A5.01A; ’. (2) After section A5.01— insert— ‘A5.01A(1) An inspector, or an authorised person, under the RuralLandsProtectionAct1985 may supply prepared baits to a person (the “user” ) to control declared animals under that Act. ‘(2) The baits must not contain more than 0.03% fluoroacetic acid.
2517 Poisons Amendment (No. 4) No. 415, 1993 ‘(3) The user may only possess and use the baits under the written conditions given to the user by the supplier. ‘(4) An adult employee of the user, or other adult authorised by the user as an agent of the user, may also possess and use the baits under the written conditions given to the user by the supplier. ‘(5) The user must— (a) comply with the conditions; and (b) cause the conditions to be complied with by the user’s employees or authorised agents.
