s1 2 s4 Poisons Amendment (No. 2) No. 64, 1995 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Poisons Amendment Regulation (No. 2) 1995 . ˙ Regulation amended 2. This regulation amends the Poisons Regulation 1973 . ˙ Amendment of s A6.04 3. Section A6.04(b)(iv)— omit . ˙ Insertion of new s A6.04A 4. After section A6.04— insert — ˙ ‘ Dinoprost and dinoprostone ‘ A6.04A.(1) A person must not prescribe, dispense, sell, lend, give away, supply or use dinoprost or dinoprostone for human therapeutic use unless— (a) the person’s name appears in the Register of Specialists, Queensland as an obstetrician or gynaecologist; or (b) the person is a registrar in obstetrics or gynaecology working directly under the supervision of a specialist obstetrician or specialist gynaecologist; or (c) the person has the written approval of the Chief Health Officer. ‘ (2) However, a pharmacist or a doctor practising pharmacy with the approval of the Pharmacy Board, may dispense dinoprost or dinoprostone under the written prescription of a person mentioned in subsection (1). ‘ (3) In this section— “Register of Specialists, Queensland” has the meaning given by the Medical Act 1939 .
