2 Poisons Amendment (No. 1) No. 50, 1994 PART 1—PRELIMINARY ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Poisons Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 1994 . PART 2—AMENDMENT OF REGULATION ˙ Amended regulation 2. The Poisons Regulation 1973 is amended in this Part. ˙ Amendment of s A1.01 (Definitions) 3.(1) Section A1.01 (definitions “the Act”, “the Standard”, “the Standard for the Uniform Scheduling of Drugs and Poisons” )— omit. (2) Section A1.01— insert— ‘ “Standard” means the Standard for the Uniform Scheduling of Drugs and Poisons as in force under section A2.01; “Standard for the Uniform Scheduling of Drugs and Poisons” means the book titled ‘Standard for the Uniform Scheduling of Drugs and Poisons’ compiled by the National Health and Medical Research Council and published by the Commonwealth; ’. ˙ Replacement of s A2.01 (Adoption of Standard) 4. Section A2.01— omit, insert—
3 Poisons Amendment (No. 1) No. 50, 1994 ˙ ‘Standard to be adopted ‘A2.01.(1) In this section— “relevant edition” of the Standard means Edition No. 8. ‘(2) The relevant edition of the Standard is, subject to sections A2.02 to A2.07, the standard for the scheduling of drugs and poisons. ‘(3) If the relevant edition of the Standard is amended, the amendment does not take effect for the purposes of this regulation unless this regulation otherwise provides. ‘(4) Amendment No. 1 of the relevant edition takes effect for the purposes of this regulation on 4 March 1994. ’. PART 3—REPEAL ˙ Repeal 5.
