POISONS (AMENDMENT) ACT.

An Act to make further provision with respect to the sale of poisons; for this purpose to amend the Poisons Act, 1952; and for purposes connected therewith. [Assented to,

9th August, 1956.]

the same, as follows :—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the "Poisons

(Amendment) Act, 1956."

(2) The Poisons Act, 1952, as amended by this Act,

may be cited as the Poisons Act, 1952-195(3.

'2. The Poisons Act, 1952, is amended—

(a) by omitting from the definition of "Poisons

L i s t " in section three the words "section five"

and by inserting in lieu thereof the words

section. CHILD

"section seven";

(b) by inserting in paragraph (a) of section eleven

after the words "the poison or poisons con­

tained therein and" the words " , in the case

of a sale by retail ,";

(c) (i) by omitting from paragraph (d) of subsec­

tion one of section twenty-one the words "where an order in writing signed by the purchaser has been given for the supply
of the same";

(ii)   by omitting subsection four of the same
