POISONS ACT 1966 - REGULATION
(Relating to the provision of oxytetracycline to registered

beekeepers)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Poisons Act 1966, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder. (C.2508/25)

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 24 August 1990.

Amendment

2. The Poisons Regulations are amended by inserting after

Regulation 43 (1) (h) the following subparagraph

(i) in respect of the substance oxytetracycline in the form of a stock medicine registered under the Stock Medicines Act 1989 for use in the treatment or prevention of European Foulbrood disease in bees, a person registered as a beekeeper under the Apiaries Act 1985.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to provide that a registered beekeeper may obtain wholesale quantities of the substance oxytetracycline in a form for the treatment or prevention of European Foulbrood disease in bees.
