POISONS ACT 1966 - REGULATION
(Relating to ephedrine as a restricted substance)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Poisons Act 1966, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Poisons Regulations are amended:
| (a) | by inserting in Appendix D after the word "Ephedrine" the words "to which Schedule Four of the Poisons List applies"; |
| (b) | by inserting in Appendix E after the word "Ephedrine" the words ''to which Schedule Four of the Poisons List applies"; |
| (c) | by inserting in Group 2 of Part 1 of Appendix G after the word "Ephedrine" the words "to which Schedule Four of the Poisons |
List applies";
| (d) | by omitting from Group 2 of Part 1 of Appendix G the word |
"pipradol" and by inserting instead the word "pipradrol".
EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Regulation is to provide that ephedrine is a restricted substance only to the extent to which Schedule Four of the Poisons List applies. Ephedrine is listed in Schedule Four (restricted substances) but with exceptions (for example, in preparations packed and labelled for topical use containing 1% or less of ephedrine).
